VP Legislative Report
Dan Engsberg,
As we finally get to the end of winter, I hope you are all getting through the sporadic and consistent changes to the weather and temperature we are seeing. We’re excited to announce the golf outing on June 4th of this year, which has me very excited for nicer weather, but until then we will have to deal the ever present possibility that it could snow at practically any moment.

VP Education's Report
Mark Mayer,
Last month the Minnesota State Science Fair took place in downtown St. Paul. Our chapter participated again through a sponsorship for the event and provide a total of $500 in prize money for 2 of the top projects. Part of being a sponsor allows us to spend some time to talk with students. This year Wade Knipp and Dan Engsberg joined me. We talked with students about plumbing engineering and used an example of how IOT is being used to help run large facilities more efficiently.
This year we provide a $350 award for 1st Place and a $150 award for 2nd Place. The 1st Place winner was Aditi Gandhi an 11th grader for her project “Continuous Low-Cost Proxy Monitoring System for Chloramine Detection in Indoor Pool Air.” Our 2nd Place winner was Olivia Lin a 6th Grader for her project “Making Water Soft-Is Soft Water Clean?”
