Happy New Year to one and all! We are off to a cold and busy 2026, so I hope you are all staying warm and active during these next few winter months.
The Plumbing Board’s 2024 UPC ad hoc Chapter 15 Rulemaking Committee had their most recent meeting on January 6th, 2025 and you can refer to the Committees website for more information. See https://www.dli.mn.gov/about-department/boards-and-councils/2024-upc-ad-hoc-chapter-15-rulemaking-committee
The next scheduled public meeting is on January 13, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. The board is currently reviewing changes to the Minnesota Plumbing code and they are getting close to their final recommendation for recommended changes.
We are getting close to the end of the code review process so NOW IS THE TIME TO APPROACH THE COMMITTEE WITH ANY CODE ITEMS YOU WOULD LIKE TO HAVE CHANGED.

The State of Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) issues the CCLD newsletter that provides pertinent information regarding the construction codes.
