About Us

The Minnesota Chapter of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) was founded in 1980.  The first organizational Minnesota chapter meeting was held on January 17, 1980 at the Sheraton Inn Airport in Bloomington, MN.  The first official Minnesota chapter charter meeting was held on December 18th, 1980 at the Sheraton Inn Airport in Bloomington, MN.  ASPE Society President, S. Calvin Laws presented MN Chapter with its Charter with 39 members in attendance.

  • 1979: Ken Wickre contacted ASPE Society on Minnesota being a new ASPE Chapter, May 1979

  • 1991: Grew to 60 members
  • 1994: Grew to 73 members

  • 2004: Transitioned to 100% electronic newsletter, Jan 2004
  • 2004: First official MN website created
  • 2006: Grew to 179 members
